Notes: These data give the dietary intakes of phthalates for adults from
foods in the Total Diet Study food groups for which quantitative data are
available (see Table 1). On the basis of total phthalate measurements, these
foods are expected to account for approximately 85 percent of dietary intake of
phthalates. The contributions from other food groups is assumed to be zero.
Food consumption data were taken from the Dietary and Nutritional Study of
British Adults. Values for mean and high level intakes are derived from a
distribution of the consumption patterns of survey respondents consuming any one
or a combination of the foods for which quantitative data are available. |
