Food Advisory Committee
WHAT IS THE FOOD ADVISORY COMMITTEE?
The FAC was established in 1983 following the merger of two committees
that had previously dealt with food standards and with food additives
and contaminants. The Committee is probably best known for its work
on food additives, but it also deals with many other issues ranging
from food surveillance to the labelling of foods.

Food for Thought
"Food for Thought", the FAC newsletter, aims to bring
the Committee's work to those its business affects most - the public.
